Watering with an irrigation system or sprinkler is allowed any day of the week before 11 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
All fountains are allowed, and hand watering is permitted any time of the day.
Residents may water any day of the week with a sprinkler or irrigation system before 10am and after 8pm.
Hand watering, drip, or 5 gallon bucket allowed any day of the week at any time.
09/1/2016: The fall edition of the WaterSaver Landscape and Patio conpons are back and available through October 31st. Eligibility requires replacing 200 square feet of grass with drought-tolerant plants and/or a patioscape. The Landscape Coupon has 15 different types of trees and 10 shrubs to choose from! The PatioScape coupon must include the purchase of flagstone, pavers, or stepping stones that should cover at least 80 percent of a contiguous 200 square feet. 05/24/16: The Annual Festival of Flowers is happening this Saturday the 28th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the San Antonio Alzafar Shrine Auditorium. There will be educational sessions morning and afternoon, landscape and garden vendors, and other attractions, as well as a free drought-tolerant plant for each adult! 02/08/16: A temporary quarantine has been set on Mexican Fan and Queen Palms shipped into Texas from Florida due to the threat of Fusarium wilt. Put into effect on February 8, 2016 by the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). Symptoms of this disease on palm trees in the early stage include part of the central leaf stem becoming yellow or brown, and the leaves wilting. These symptoms will progress to the entire canopy of the palm, starting from the lowest leaves to the topmost leaves of the canopy.

12/1/15: The San Antonio City Council has approved rate adjustments which will go into effect starting 1/1/16, in hopes of encouraging water conservation by establishing 8 residential rate blocks as opposed to 4. This will allow affordable rates for customers using less than 2,992 gallons of water monthly, but will increase the average SAWS customer’s monthly bill by approx. $3.97. 6/24/15: New Braunfels has lifted its water restriction usage, Residents may water with an irrigation or hose-end sprinkler on any day of the week before 10 a.m. or after 8 p.m.

6/10/15: City of San Antonio has lifted its water restriction usage, Residents can now water with an irrigation system or hose-end sprinkler on any day of the week before 11 a.m. or after 7 p.m. Additional information regarding year-round water use is available at saws.org/drought.

1/13/2014: With winter here, we have seen some of the coldest days in many years! We encourage looking at the forecast and prepare for those harsh freezes! Drain the irrigation system to ensure that water will not freeze and crack the pipes and protect your backflow device with a freeze plug, insulation and a protective bag.
12/4/2013: Winter has come again! Have your irrigation system checked, making sure it is up to the task during the winter, the freezes can have an impact on its ability. The backflow device can be protected, thus protecting the system. Call to inquire about how to place anti-freeze measures on your backflow device and save your system!
8/6/2013: Landscape lighting has always been a great means to accent your yard, lawn, beds, trees and the home. Through Kichler, we now are able to offer an affordable means to replace the LED lamp's instead of the entire fixture.
8/6/2013: SAWS is currently holding off on entering Stage 3 water restrictions by using additional resources. Texas is very hot this time of year and we encourage our customers to follow the stage rules and practice water conservation the best they can to help our community.
